Network Rail , construction manager
James and Miraan both started on the Network Rail graduate scheme as Civil and Mechanical engineers respectively. During their time there, they have founded two new and dynamic programmes within Network Rail. One on STEM outreach called “Fast Tackers”, and one on Digital Innovation called “DICE”. Between the two of them and their projects, they have won the Graduate Initiative of the year at the 2018 CN Talent Awards, the Innovation in STEM award at the 2019 STEM Inspiration Awards, and Graduate of the Year for James at the Railstaff Awards. They are both passionate about driving change within the industry, and in utilising the incredible resource of Graduates and Apprentices within Network Rail and beyond. This led them to create DICE (Digital Innovation for Collaboration in Engineering) which is now in its second year and passionately supported by the Network Rail Chief Executive Andrew Haines.
